After graduating from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, Pastor Sean began his ministry at the two-point parish of Messiah Lutheran Church in Moundsville, WV and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in New Martinsville, WV in July of 2009.  He grew up in the Lutheran Church and as his love for God and the Church deepened, he felt called into ordained ministry to proclaim the Good News of Christ Jesus and sharing the faith with others, and to nurture and care for others in their faith journeys.  He enjoys reaching out with the congregations into the community and being a part of bringing people to faith and ministering to the needs of people in the community.  In 2014, with the cooperation of local congregations, Pastor Sean helped develop a vision of a cooperative ministry between local Lutheran congregations. Today there are four congregations that make up the Cooperative Lutheran Ministries, which now also include First English Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church in South Wheeling, WV which Pastor Sean serves as their pastor.  

He lives in Moundsville with his wife Janis, and they have two daughters, Erin and Sarah. Sean is a native of Lima, Ohio and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina before moving to West Virginia.  He enjoys spending time with his family and working on projects around their house. And when he finds time, he enjoys hiking and traveling the hills of West Virginia, fishing, and trips to an Orthodox monastery.

Pastor Devin entered into ministry with Cooperative Lutheran Ministries in October of 2024 after being called as a pastor by First English Lutheran Church. He loves worship, engaging with the community, and growing in relationship with others. For over a decade now, he has been visiting St. Augustine’s House, a Lutheran Benedictine Monastery in Oxford, Michigan, which has had a profound impact upon his own spiritual life and practices. As the Co-op steps into a new phase of engaging with outreach, Pastor Devin is quite excited to be a part of the ministry within the churches and the communities they serve. 

Prior to his time here, he served as a Chaplain Resident at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN), earned his Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary (St. Paul, MN), and his BA with majors in Classics and Religion from St. Olaf College (Northfield, MN). He currently lives in Moundsville with his wife, Becca, and their dog, Canela. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, scuba diving, hiking, kayaking, playing video games, reading, and spending time with friends.
